HYP Fest showcases filmmakers, storytellers, creatives across a variety of mediums including, film and television, music, and gaming. The festival seeks to amplify historically underrepresented and international creatives as well as story lines and content that celebrates diverse and varied perspectives.
Every season HYP chooses to spotlight different communities and topics alongside our full slate of festival screenings. Last season, HYP Fest spotlighted environmental related films and content. This season, HYP Fest plans to spotlight HBCU students and alumni. This will be in addition to our student showcase and works-in-progress submissions.
HYP Fest is proud to offer industry programming, such as panels, workshops, and networking events with creatives and distribution / acquisition partners as well as global reach which includes streaming via Roku and Amazon Fire.
We will be presenting special awards, including ones for HBCU students and alumni, as well as the Future award which will be awarded to a film/show that leverages A/R, V/R, AI, blockchain, NFTs, and/or an immersive experience.
This year, HYP Fest will be applying for non-profit status and Hyphenova is proud to be a sponsor for the 2023 Fest.
